(Singapore), a part of the global photovoltaic module and smart energy solutions group, in connection with the sale of its equity stake in Bright Solar Renewable Energy Private Limited to Mahindra Renewables Private Limited. The deal value was U.S.$1.5 million.
  • Lex Favios acted as legal counsel to Kline Technical Consulting LLC and KTC Fortess Pvt. Ltd. in connection with a technology and equipment tie-up with Punj Lloyd Ltd., involving the negotiation and documentation of agreements and review of tender documents. Punj Lloyd Ltd. became the first private sector company in India to install X-Ray based Full Body Truck Scanners (FBTS) at the country’s borders, winning a prestigious order worth Rs. 120 Crore from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the supply and commissioning of five FBTSs, with KTC Fortess Pvt. Ltd. / Kline Technical Consulting LLC serving as the technology partner.
  • Lex Favios acted as legal counsel to Husk Power Systems Inc. (Mauritius) and Husk Power Systems Pvt. Ltd. in connection with the incorporation of entities in Mauritius and India, structuring of transactions, advice on setting up operations in India, and review of key contracts. Husk Power is engaged in the business of alternate energy and has installed 84 mini-power plants across the state of Bihar.
  • Lex Favios acted as legal counsel to a Government of India consortium led by SAIL, Jindal Steel, and JSW Steel in connection with the Hajigak Iron Ore Deposits located in the Bamiyan Province, approximately 130 km west of Kabul, Afghanistan. The firm advised the consortium on setting up a special purpose vehicle (SPV) in Kabul, and on the review of the consortium agreement and drafting of the joint venture and joint operations agreements between the parties.
