The Firm’s Drugs and Cosmetics practice focuses on food, drug, medical device, and cosmetic regulatory and compliance matters. The Firm has a very comprehensive practice in the regulation of packaging materials for food, drugs, and cosmetics and other food-contact articles. We represent clients in addressing all issues relating to these products, including the suitability of their composition and labelling. • Review of compliance status of food ingredients and additives, functional foods, and substances used in food packaging and  processing equipment
• Advising clients on the status of ingredients, processing aids, and finished products (including labelling) under all of the Asian  regulatory schemes
• Reviewing labelling and advertising for compliance with Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1945 and guidelines
• Advise on the classification of a product as a cosmetic or a drug based on the product claims
• Counseling on potential product liability issues and defending related court cases
• Providing guidance on the safety testing of cosmetic ingredients, including toxicology, carcinogenicity, and sensitivity testing on  volunteers
